01 / WHAT DRIVES ME

A good strategy has to work in the day to day.

Who will deliver the campaign? What does sales need for the next conversation? Which activity deserves budget right now? I know these questions from being accountable for the answers. In marketing leadership and general management, building teams, setting priorities and making commercial decisions were part of my work.

That is the perspective I bring to consulting today. I want to understand how your product is used, why customers choose it and where your team needs support. Together we develop a plan, put it into practice and improve it against business outcomes that matter.

02 / MY BACKGROUND

Four perspectives that shape my work.

My background brings together strategic marketing, responsibility inside a SaaS company and the experience of building entrepreneurial ventures.

  1. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS / MAASTRICHT

The foundation: understanding markets and people.

I grew up near Aachen, close to the Dutch and Belgian borders. In Maastricht I studied International Business with a focus on Strategic Marketing. An exchange semester in Monterrey and an internship in Bangkok broadened my view of international markets early on.

  2. TASKWORLD / LEADERSHIP

    Marketing from inside the business.

At Taskworld, I held responsibility as VP Marketing and managing director of Taskworld Germany. Building the European business connected marketing with sales, customer support and team leadership. That experience shapes how I connect marketing objectives to the wider needs of a SaaS company.

  3. DACH · SOUTH KOREA · JAPAN

Entering a market means becoming locally relevant.

I have worked on building country operations in DACH, South Korea and Japan. That involves positioning, trust and local relationships: who makes the software decision, what questions come up in sales and how does the offer need to be explained in that market?

  4. GROWSAAS / ENTREPRENEURSHIP & CONSULTING

    Today, those perspectives come together.

As a GROWSaaS co-founder, I combine personal consulting with the experience of a specialist team. I help B2B SaaS, IT and tech companies with strategy, go-to-market and delivery. Developing practical, useful applications of AI in marketing is part of that work too.

ONE CHAPTER FROM THAT EXPERIENCE

Building Taskworld’s presence in DACH.

A local presence in Berlin, a German-speaking team and the development of marketing, sales and support: this market entry brought many moving parts together. Working with the team, I helped turn an international SaaS product into an offer that was relevant to local buyers.

03 / HOW I WORK

You work directly with me.

I start with the business questions.

Your product, buyers, offer and sales process set the direction. Together we decide which constraint to tackle first and what meaningful progress will look like.

I make the conversation clear.

You get a reasoned recommendation and a direct point of contact. We make open questions, responsibilities and next steps explicit so your team can move forward.

I take part in delivery.

Depending on the engagement, I work on positioning, content, campaigns or workflows. When additional specialists are needed, we agree their roles and my own contribution together.

04 / A PERSPECTIVE ACROSS BORDERS

German roots. An international perspective.

Working across borders runs through my career. Europe and Asia have given me different perspectives on collaboration, communication and buying decisions. I bring those experiences into conversations with founders and marketing teams.

I am interested in how a product becomes relevant to the people who will actually use it. That means listening, asking questions and getting to grips with complex offers. I value clear agreements and enough room to test new ideas in practice.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Patrick Wings?

I am a B2B marketing consultant, entrepreneur and GROWSaaS co-founder focused on SaaS, IT and tech companies. My background includes more than 15 years of marketing experience and previous responsibility as VP Marketing and general manager.

What experience do you have building SaaS businesses?

In previous roles, I helped build a SaaS business to three million US dollars in annual recurring revenue and managed annual marketing budgets of up to two million US dollars. Developing Taskworld’s European business was part of my work.

Can you help international companies enter DACH?

Yes. I am a native German speaker with experience in international market development. I help with positioning, local content, campaigns and sales alignment. The Taskworld project provides a specific example of entering DACH and building a local operation.

Do you provide advice or also deliver the work?

Both are possible. Depending on your needs, I contribute to strategy, content, campaigns and marketing workflows. We agree objectives, specific deliverables and responsibilities at the beginning of the engagement.

Will I work with you personally or with a team?

I am your direct point of contact and contribute personally to the project. Where additional expertise or delivery capacity is useful, we agree which specialists will be involved and who will own each task.

Which languages and working arrangements do you offer?

Consulting and content are available in German and English. I work remotely with international teams. We agree clear communication channels and suitable shared times for discussions, workshops and reviews.

How do we find out whether working together is a good fit?

Our first conversation covers your product, objectives and current challenge. From there we can define a suitable scope, whether that is a standalone strategy project, practical delivery support or a longer engagement.
